Waiting times at record levels
THE health service could be facing a "brutal winter storm", clinicians have warned government ministers.
The Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM) urged a rethink of planning as the latest A&E waiting times figures showed 41,073 patients waited more than four hours before being admitted, transferred or discharged.
It's the highest total ever recorded fo r September, Public Health Scotland figures revealed.
