BRITAIN is heading for its worst flu season in years.
Cases of the virus in Australia are set to top last winter's huge tally and rates there are usually reflected here a few months later.
People over 65, carers and pregnant women are being urged to take up their appointments for NHS jabs.
Dr Ranbir Bahra, of biotech company CSL Seqirus, said: “Last year was one of the most severe flu seasons in recent UK history.
