Bike kid's lorry killer spared jail

A BIN lorry driver who caused the death of a boy who was cycling to school as he pulled out of a car park has been spared jail.

Ross Wallace was driving the Scania HGV when he hit Thomas Wong at the exit of the Royal Burgess Golfing Society car park in Cramond, Edinburgh, in March last year.

Wallace, 29, continued to drive on, but pulled over after hearing colleagues shouting, to find the Thomas, 11, in the road.
