THE contents of the world's oldest Scotch single malt whisky cask are set to fetch more than £15million after being released for sale.

- BY STUART MacDONALD

The 85-year-old cask of Glenlivet - distilled in Scotland during World War II - has been emptied and bottled by family distillery business Gordon & MacPhail.

The whisky was first laid down on February 3, 1940, by John and George Urquhart, the first and second generation leaders of the Moray-based firm.
