Three months of disruptions on key link road for gas supplies project

A BUSY A-road that runs through a seaside village faces a series of closures in a three month project. The A546 in Deganwy is a major link between Llandudno and Llandudno Junction, Conwy, and the A55.
It is set to face three months of disruption as part of a vital scheme to protect gas supplies locally. Work by Wales & West Utilities to upgrade over 550 metres of gas pipes in the Station Road area of Deganwy is set to start in September.
The project will start the work on September 2 and, barring any engineering difficulties, the project will complete by November 21.
They said it is essential to keep the gas flowing safely and reliably to local homes and businesses, keeping people warm for generations.
