TIM IROEGBUNAM insists he can keep improving after bouncing back from his Newcastle United nightmare and filling Idrissa Gueye's boots in midfield.

He had a difficult outing against the Magpies on November 29 when he was hooked at the interval by manager David Moyes in a 4-1 home defeat.

Newcastle's second goal stemmed from his poor touch when trying to clear his lines and he was shrugged off the ball far too easily by Anthony Elanga to set up the third on the stroke of halftime.

However, since then, Iroegbunam has produced a clutch of promising displays.

And the 22-year-old said:"I'd say the Newcastle game was definitely a bad day for me. But obviously, you can have good games, you can have bad games.

“it’s just forgetting about it and just bouncing on and showing what you can do in the next game. I happened to do that.
