N.Wales River Island store among 33 to close

RIVER Island has been given the green light to close dozens of stores in a bid to save the chain.

The move is being done to prevent the chain from collapsing into administration.

It will see River Island shutter 33 shops and pay reduced rents on a further 71. The retailer is looking to secure further funding later this year to avoid falling into millions of pounds’ worth of debt.

In North Wales this go-ahead will see the Wrexham store close but save the shop on Parc Llandudno retail park.
