Lorry driver hid illegal passenger in his cab

A lorry driver from Ireland was found to be hiding an illegal passenger in his cab at Holyhead.

Brian Shortall, 40, of White Church View, Rathfarnam, Dublin, said he hadn't noticed it only said “one adult” on his own ticket when he was caught by police.
He admitted doing an act facilitating the commission of a breach of UK immigration law by a non-UK national and was given a suspended jail sentence yesterday, at Caernarfon Crown Court.
