Hotels are not being used to house asylum seekers, say owners

THE MP for Ynys Mon has issued a statement after claims hotels on Anglesey are set to be used to house asylum seekers.

This weekend a number of social media posts have been circulating in relation to the Cymyran Hotel, near RAF Valley on the west coast of Anglesey, and the Valley Hotel in Valley.
The Cymyran Hotel has been on the market since 2023 with a sale to new owners currently going through. It has led to claims the Home Office is looking to use the site to house asylum seekers, although no evidence was provided to support this.
The Home Office and Anglesey council have been contacted by the Daily Post over this claim.
The owners selling the hotel have posted online disputing the asylum seeker claim and have spoken to the MP over the plans for the hotel.
