Vale Country Club has been a 'labour of love' for Jones family

- By OWEN HUGHES Business Correspondent owen.hughes@dailypost.co.uk

WHAT began as a family farm in the heart of the Vale of Clwyd has grown into one of North Wales' most beloved wedding and event venues.

Vale Country Club has always been more than a venue - it's a home, a family, and a labour of love.

For the Jones family - Robert, Haf, Anna, Tomos, and Harithis land in the heart of the Vale of Clwyd has been a place of memories, milestones, and magic for nearly 25 years.

It all began in 1989, when Robert moved into the original farmhouse on the outskirts of Ruthin.

The property, then a working cattle farm run by his father, Elwyn, has been lovingly transformed over the years.

While the farmhouse was rebuilt, the original stone was used to build the inglenook fireplace and chimney - a lasting symbol of warmth, family, and welcome that still greets every guest today.

Along the lane, the redbrick barn, once at the heart of farm life, now provides a charming backdrop for countless wedding photographs, too.

Growing up at the family home, Anna, Tomos, and Hari spent their days playing among the hay bales, exploring the lake, and following their Taid, Elwyn, as he called in the cattle or worked on the tractor.
