Demolition of Grenfell set to start

WHAT may be a two-year process to demolish Grenfell Tower, in west London, is beginning this week.

The Government announced earlier this year that the remains of the building - where a deadly fire broke out in 2017 and claimed the lives of 72 people - will be brought down.

Preparations had been taking place over the summer and work to remove a former plant room, which previously housed heating and a water tank, on top of the tower is to start this week.
