Darts fan misses out on prize of £180,000

A DARTS fan missed out on the chance to win £180,000 at the World Darts Championship final on Saturday night, much to the dismay of a packed 'Ally Pally' crowd.

Electrician Curtis Griffiths, 27, from Wrexham, was given a simple brief. Score 180 points or more with nine darts and he'd walk away with £180,000.

The event, which was held shortly before the World Championship final, was put on by Paddy Power as part of its Darts of Destiny challenge, which aimed to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK.
