COUNCILLORS demanded "not to be treated like children" after finding out enforcement notices had been issued by the Health and Safety Executive [HSE] following a fatal crash.
Daphne Stallard, 89, died after being hit by a council recycling truck in Llandudno on the morning of September 1.
At a finance and resources overview and scrutiny committee meeting held at Conwy Council's Coed Pella HQ on Monday, Abergele councillor Paul Luckock asked for an update on the tragedy.
It comes after confirmation last week that the local authority had been served with three improvement notices by HSE in relation to the fatality.
Despite being asked by legal officers not to discuss the matter, several councillors appeared aggrieved they'd not been kept informed.
Cllr Paul Luckock said: "Can I request a statement today on the enforcement notice we received from the health and safety executive of the death of the lady on the streets of Llandudno?
