Concerns over 'increasing' size of town's beach huts

THE increasing price of Abersoch beach huts has been a topic of debate for years - with some now selling for over £200K, more than a house in parts of Gwynedd.

But concern has now been raised over the size of some of the new huts.

The Porth Mawr beach has been battered by storms in recent years - taking a toll on some of the exposed wooden shacks.

It has seen applications to demolish existing huts and build new ones.

But these are sometimes bigger than the unit they are replacing which has triggered a call for a new planning policy from Cyngor Gwynedd on this specific issue.
