Permanently wedged in the top-right corner of the screen, whatever the hour, whatever the programme, it’s even had a little graphic of the five rings, with “Milano-Cortina 2026” beneath it (thus looking uncannily like a car ad).

There's been that, plus a countdown to when the Games get under way. Which is Friday, February 6. Better known as “today”.
