We could also have opted to comment on the “New World Order” as described by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney following his strategic trade agreements with Chinese President Xi Jinping - a move many hail as a shift away from economic reliance on Washington.

However, a tragedy closer to home on Monday demands our immediate attention and condemnation.
