Conviction of McMaster should be the standard

THREE decades. That's how long it took to convict Clinton McMaster.

McMaster was found guilty of raping and molesting a child. The crimes happened more than 30 years ago, and it took three decades and the grit of one prosecutor to drag justice out of hiding.

The abuse happened between 1990 and 1994, and only now, 30 years later, has the justice system finally caught up with him.

For the survivor, the conviction comes 30 years too late to undo the damage.
