Winehouse pal's Mitch snub over 'kickback'

AMY Winehouse's friend told the singer's father she would rather set money on fire than pay him off to avoid a legal wrangle, the High Court has heard.

Naomi Parry claimed Mitch Winehouse offered her the chance to keep £187,000 of the £682,000 she had made auctioning off items given to her by the late star “to make this go away”.

The singer's stylist told the court: “I told him I would rather set the money on fire than give him a penny. These were my exact words.”
