Shaky Bayindir opens door for Onana return

RUBEN AMORIM performed the big unveil on the new stars he hopes will solve Manchester United's striker crisis - but another is looming at the other end of the field.

The United boss must decide whether to start Andre Onana against Arsenal on Sunday, even though the entire preseason has passed without the goalkeeper raising a glove in anger.

The 29-year-old has been sidelined by a hamstring injury through the entire summer tour across the United States.

And his stand-in Altay Bayindir has hardly filled Amorim, or his defence, with confidence - even though his spot kick save helped United win their final warm-up in a penalty shootout over Fiorentina.

That followed a shaky campaign by the Turkish keeper, who started just four Premier League games last term, losing three of them and letting in ten goals in those defeats.
