Fresh strike force and more time on training pitch reaps dividends says Amorim

- BY STEVEN RAILSTON

RUBEN AMORIM is convinced Manchester United are a different beast to the side that suffered Europa League final heartbreak against Tottenham.

And Amorim conceded a lack of European football this season has helped United finally start to show some green shoots of recovery.

United head down the M6 for tomorrow's lunchtime cruncher having failed in seven attempts to beat Tottenham, including the European showpiece in Bilbao last May.

But after a summer overhaul of their attacking options, with the signatures of Bryan Mbeumo (right, with skipper Bruno Fernandes), Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko, combined with a lighter schedule, Amorim says they are heading to north London full of confidence.

Asked how different United’s team is to May's meeting, Amorim said: “First of all, the characteristics of the players. So, we are a better team, we play better, we understand the game better.
