UK police braced for more terror in wake of carnage

COUNTER-TERRORISM police are on high alert over fears of copycat attacks in the UK after the atrocity at Bondi Beach.

Jewish charities met police and government officials yesterday following the attack on Jewish families celebrating Hanukkah, the festival of lights, in Sydney on Sunday.

Police will increase patrols around synagogues and other community venues.
