DONALD Trump faced outrage yesterday after a video depicting Barack and Michelle Obama as apes was put on his social media account.

The clip featuring the former President and his wife, set to Tight Fit’s The Lion Sleeps Tonight, was deleted 12 hours later, with the White House saying a staffer reposted it “erroneously”.

It had been edited into a longer video promoting President Trump’s false claims about the 2020 election, which he lost, having been stolen from him.

Mr Trump has repeatedly insulted and attacked President Obama, often using remarks about his heritage.
