ELON Musk could become the world's first trillionaire under the biggest payout in corporate history.

Shareholders in US electric car maker Tesla have approved a potential mega-deal for its controversial boss.

Already the world's richest man with an estimated $500billion (£380bn), he could be handed nearly $1trillion (£760bn) worth of Tesla shares over the next decade under the deal.

The payout, dependent on Tesla meeting tough targets, would be worth the equivalent of nearly £100 for every man, woman and child on Earth.
