Tory politician's wife freed after racial hate term

A TORY councillor's wife who was jailed for stirring up racial hatred online has been released from prison.

Following the murder of three girls in Southport last July, Lucy Connolly posted on X: "Mass deportation now, set fire to all the f****** hotels full of the b****** for all I care.... if that makes me racist so be it."

It followed false online rumours that the murderer was an asylum seeker who arrived by small boat.
