SO much for the three-peat. Back in its box for at least two more years before anyone else can have a go.

If revenge is a dish best served cold, the Eagles chilled one of their town's famous Philly Cheesesteaks and rammed it down Kansas City's throat. After losing the Super Bowl to KC two years ago in agonising fashion, this was redemption.

And it tasted oh so sweet.

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, who threw for two touchdowns, ran for another and was voted Most Valuable Player, said: "It's been a long journey.
