James off bench with moment of magic to rescue point for Chelsea

REECE JAMES was sprung from the bench to save Chelsea's blushes on a night where they again shone a light on their own fragility.

The club captain was left on the sidelines for 56 minutes with midfielder Moises Caicedo instead used at right-back.

But James' 95th-minute free-kick earned Enzo Maresca's side a draw they barely deserved having thrown away an early lead during a stinking second half.

Cole Palmer had them in front against the visitors who had only 11 fit senior outfield players available. But Justin Kluivert levelled from the penalty spot early in the second half before Antoine Semenyo drilled home a stunning goal to put Andoni Iraola's gritty Bournemouth in front.
