NHS offers new ovary cancers treatment

HUNDREDS of women with hard-to-treat ovarian cancer are set to be offered a new treatment after it was approved for NHS use.

Many women with ovarian cancer are not diagnosed until the disease is at a later stage, making it harder to treat.

Experts said those with a certain form of late-stage disease which has stopped responding to chemotherapy previously had limited options.

Now they have hailed the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence's (Nice) decision.
