Memorial to fatal car drag cop is unveiled

THE widow of a police officer, whose death led to tougher sentences for the killing of emergency workers, has unveiled a stone in his memory.

PC Andrew Harper sustained fatal injuries while responding to a quad bike theft in August 2019.

He was dragged down a country road for a mile by a car driven by suspects fleeing the scene in Sulhamstead, Berkshire.

Recently married, PC Harper, aged 28, was due to go on his honeymoon with his wife Lissie.
