Kneecap 'terror' case thrown out over error

SUPPORT O hAnnaidh at London court yesterday

KNEECAP'S Liam Og O hAnnaidh yesterday had his terrorism charge thrown out after a legal error.

The Irish rapper, who performs as Mo Chara, was accused of displaying a flag in support of terror group Hezbollah at a London gig last year.

Chief magistrate Paul Goldspring’s decision to dismiss the case sparked cheers in the public gallery and applause.

Speaking outside court, O hAnnaidh, 27, thanked his legal team and interpreter - who helped him through the case - before addressing his large crowd of supporters.
