Show of support during family feuds

THE Princess of Wales made a fashion statement in support of Victoria Beckham yesterday, amid the Spice Girl's family row.

The future queen wore an olive green trouser suit designed by Victoria to a British Fashion Council bash celebrating the nation's fashion industry.

Singer-turned-designer Victoria, 51, and her ex-footballer husband David, 50, have long supported the Waleses' charitable endeavours.

Prince William was president of the FA at the same time as David was England captain.

A source close to the Beckhams said: "The Princess of Wales has worn Victoria's designs before and it's great to see that she's wearing one again, especially as the outfit was not gifted and was very much her own call to wear it.

"Both couples support each other's charities and David and William are friends too, so there is a great deal of mutual respect there."

They also share similar struggles, with reports of a growing feud between Victoria and David and their eldest son Brooklyn, 26, and his American wife Nicola Peltz, 30.

The Waleses have had a strained relationship with William's brother Prince Harry, 40, and his American actress wife Meghan, 43, since they left their royal roles in 2020.
