Beach shock inspired author to tour UK picking up trash

A NATURE lover shocked by a dead bird tangled in a balloon and ribbon has become Britain's busiest litter picker and collected enough rubbish to fill a stadium.

Jason Alexander, 54, who has opened a litter museum and started Rubbish Walks, aims to be the first person to pick up trash in every UK county.

Seeing a dead gannet on a Suffolk beach in 2013 changed his life. The campaigner, who has picked up millions of bits of litter on his daily walks, said: "It was a brutal sight that and hit me like a ton of bricks and deeply affected me.
