Civil service boss blasts Johnson's Covid regime

THE UK's top civil servant has admitted his frustration at working with Boris Johnson during the pandemic.

But Cabinet Secretary Simon Case told the Covid Inquiry he is sorry for his WhatsApps saying the former PM made the government look like a "tragic joke".

He said yesterday: "They are very raw human expressions. They're not the whole story but I recognise they're part of the story. Many of them now require apologies for things that I said and the way I expressed myself."
