Navy sends warship as Hurricane Beryl leaves trail of death across Caribbean

KILLER Hurricane Beryl surged past Jamaica with 145mph winds and lifethreatening storm surges.

A curfew is still in place as heavy rain and flash floods continue to threaten the Caribbean nation.

At least two people are known to have died, including a footballer swept away as he left a mini-stadium in Kingston to retrieve the ball.

The storm knocked out power lines as families in Britain struggled to contact loved ones.
