Day of mourning as death toll hits 23 after Putin's missile barrage

THE bloody death toll from this week's massive Russian missile and drone blitz on Kyiv has risen to 23, including four children.

It could rise even higher as rescuers say as many as eight people are missing and bodies have not been identified. More than 50 people were wounded as a five-storey block of flats was blasted.

Russian President Vladimir Putin's ruthless onslaught even hit the British Council building in Ukraine's capital.

The youngest victim was a two-year-old girl called Angelina, who died alongside mum Nadiya, 24.

Kremlin war chiefs ordered the 600 drones plus missiles wave of attacks overnight from Wednesday to Thursday.
