BIG BRANDS PLAY DOWN TARIFF IMPACT

COFFEE and chocolate giant Nestlé yesterday posted higher sales on the back of price rises.
Shoppers were left paying more as the industry heavyweight raked in quarterly takings of more than £20billion.
Sales grew 2.8%, with three-quarters coming from price increases.
The Swiss firm insisted it was clawing back "cost inflation" in coffee and cocoa.
