James sells mansion after planning woe

JAMES Corden has sold his £8.5m mansion, apparently abandoning plans to live in a countryside retreat.

The Gavin & Stacey favourite, 47, splurged on the horseshoe-shaped 1960s modernist Templecombe House in 2020.

He planned to tear down and rebuild the property to make a new family home after ending an eight-year run hosting The Late Late Show in the US.

Permission to build the swimming pools, sauna and steam room he wanted was denied but authorities did in 2023 allow a plan to build a six-bed mansion on the plot at Henley-on-Thames, Oxon.
