Hills' ace the wise call to bag fourth win of season

TREFOR has the ideal profile to give his trainer Charlie Hills a third win in the Betfred Portland Handicap (2.25) at Doncaster this afternoon.

The son of Invincible Army keeps getting better, as evidenced by a record of six victories from 16 starts, with three of those gold medals coming since the start of June.

Hours after the Oaks had been run at Epsom, Trefor was back in business for Hills (right) with a half-length call on Town Moor, following up at Ripon soon after.

On the back of podium efforts at Doncaster and Windsor, the four-year-old netted the opening race of York’s Ebor Festival, getting the better of The Man by a head.
