Interim boss tells Reds to focus on job of winning, not his future

FOR Michael Carrick, the debate over whether or not he is appointed permanent Manchester United manager is for others.

And the support he has received from players and fans to take up the role is equally welcomed but not his concern.

Instead, the former Old Trafford midfielder has all his focus on one thing: taking United closer to Arsenal and Manchester City.

While others talk of returning to the European top table by qualifying for the Champions League, Carrick considers that to be too small a goal.
