In his first comments since the Labour loss, the Manchester Metro Mayor yesterday called for a new political culture and warned people no longer trust politicians to fix the basics.

It comes less than a week after the Green Party's Hannah Spencer won the Greater Manchester seat with a large 4,402 majority.
