Frasers buys huge designer outlet

BILLIONAIRE Mike Ashley's high street empire has snapped up another entire shopping centre.

Frasers Group announced it has bought the Swindon Designer Outlet in Wiltshire - a 250,000 square foot mall with more than 100 stores.

The centre, which attracts more than three million visitors a year, has tenants such as Adidas, Boss, Calvin Klein, Gant and a John Lewis Home Outlet shop.

The deal, for an undisclosed amount, adds to Frasers' fast-growing assets.

It was only last month that the group, formerly known as Sports Direct, bought the Braehead Shopping Centre in Scotland for a reported £220million.
