Geordie duo's ITV deal will run to 30th year

ANT and Dec have signed a golden handcuffs deal that keeps them at ITV until 2028, by which time they will have been with the broadcaster for 30 years.

The Geordie duo are arguably the most popular presenters on British TV, famously winning the National TV Award for best presenter 23 years in a row until they lost this year to Gary Lineker.

The hosts, both 50, first joined ITV to host celebrated weekend morning show SM:TV alongside Cat Deeley, now on This Morning.

Next year the pair will continue to work on ITV's biggest entertainment shows, including Ant & Dec's Limitless Win, Britain's Got Talent and I'm a Celebrity.

Announcing the multimillion-pound deal Ant McPartlin said: “We're delighted to be continuing our long standing and creative partnership with our friends at ITV.”
