Al stroke recovery revolution

AN artificial intelligence brain scanner now used by the NHS means around half of stroke patients will make a full or almost full recovery.

The software now in every stroke centre in England diagnoses patients more than an hour faster than before.

More than 60,000 people have had strokes diagnosed or ruled out with the Al tool since its full rollout last summer, the full or almost-full recovery rate going from 16% to 48%.
