Umyla: We must stick to our game plan to see off dangerous Trinity

- BY DAN TOMLINSON

UMYLA HANLEY has likened Wakefield Trinity's play-off surge to Leigh's Super League ascent two years ago.

The Leopards star says the West Yorkshire side pose a 'dangerous' threat.

Returning to Super League after promotion last season, Wakefield have defied expectation with a top-six finish.

Leigh, who achieved the same feat back in the big time in 2023, have secured a third consecutive play-off place. The sides open the 2025 play-off series tonight as two of Super League's resurgent teams.

Leopards centre Hanley, unveiled as a Dream Team player on Monday, warned: "Wakefield are a good team and on their day, they can turn over any team in the league.

"That was us the year before last, and those teams are dangerous. We've got to stick to our game plan.
