Explosive multiple car crash & chaos as worlds of ITV's great soaps collide

The worlds of Coronation Street and Emmerdale will collide in dramatic style in an hour-long "Corriedale" special.

The explosive plot is under wraps but a brief promo shows there will be a multiple car smash with many characters involved.

In the aftermath, Corrie's Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) takes control while the Cobbles' Carla Connor (Alison King) tries to calm someone down. Fellow Weatherfield characters Shona and David Platt (Julia Goulding and Jack P Shepherd) are injured in the carnage.

Emmerdale paramedic Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) and Corrie trainee paramedic Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) try to help. She is on screen with Emmerdale's Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley).

Both shows have pregnant women caught up in the drama, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) tries to help a screaming Shona in Emmerdale's Hotton General Hospital.
