The 40th Rowing National Championships, the premier event in the country's rowing calendar, will take place from July 23-26 at the Diyawanna Rowing Centre in Battaramulla, the Amateur Rowing Association of Sri Lanka (ARASL) announced yesterday.

This milestone edition of the championship is set to feature more than 200 races over four days, attracting over 600 entries and showcasing the skills of over 300 athletes from across Sri Lanka. The event will bring together the country's finest oarsmen and oarswomen, competing in various categories and representing schools, clubs, universities, and the armed forces.
