Sri Lanka Tourism taps into booming Polish tourism market with unique “Whispers of Ceylon” wedding experience

IN a strategic move to attract the growing Polish tourism market, the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) has partnered with The Barn House Sri Lanka to introduce “Whispers of Ceylon,” a novel wedding and engagement offering.

This initiative, launched on 24 August with a Polish couple, aims to position Sri Lanka as a premier destination for high-end European weddings by blending indigenous customs with luxury, eco-conscious hospitality.

The key objective of this move was to create a novel wedding experience, and also a new concept for the foreign travellers, who would like to have their special day planned in Sri Lanka. This will highlight that there is a niche market for high end tourists, especially with the native community (Veddah) in Sri Lanka, while having the experience of getting involved with their customs, tradition and rituals. This is a great initiative of preserving Sri Lanka’s age old traditional heritage of the native communities along with their respective rituals.
