THE Sri Lanka - France Business Council of The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce has announced a new initiative to boost tourism and introduce value-added cultural exchanges through a unique blend of French rugby and fashion.

As part of this program, French rugby great Serge Betsen—celebrated as one of France’s most accomplished flankers—will visit Sri Lanka for a five-day tour in November 2025. The initiative is carried out in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB).
Tourism promotion: Betsen will participate in a range of events organised in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Tourism Board to promote Sri Lanka as a vibrant travel destination, particularly to the French-speaking market.
Rugby coaching camps: Betsen will lead a series of rugby coaching sessions aimed at inspiring and training young Sri Lankan players, sharing international-level techniques and insights.
