THE House Committee of Parliament, chaired by the Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne has decided to revise downward the food charg-

es applicable to Parliamentary Staff based on requests made by the employees.

Accordingly, it was decided at the Committee meeting held on 20 June at Parliament to revise the prices from Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 3,000 per month for an employee in the executive grade and to reduce from Rs. 2,500 to Rs. 2,000 per month for an employee in the non-executive grade. These revised charges will come into effect from 1 July 2025.
