Wolves in hunt for new boss

BRENDAN RODGERS and Erik ten Hag are the early favourites to take over at Molineux after Wolves gave fans their wish and axed Vitor Pereira.

“You’re getting sacked in the morning” was ringing in the manager’s ears on Saturday as the rock-bottom club slumped to an eighth defeat of the season, 3-0 at Fulham.

And by 11.46am yesterday, Pereira (right) and all eight of his backroom staff were gone.

There were just 45 days between Pereira being handed a new three-year contract and it being ripped up.

The Old Gold faithful felt he should have been sent on his way last Monday morning, after he angrily confronted the South Bank following the 3-2 home defeat by Burnley.
