White supremacist who ran gun factory to gear up for 'race war' jailed

A WHITE supremacist who transformed his shabby caravan into a gun and bomb factory has been jailed for at least 16 years.

Thomas McKenna, 60, was arrested during a raid by more than 80 officers at Britain’s biggest traveller site.

His plot was used to stockpile homemade explosives, throwing axes and converted firearms as he prepared for a “race war” against Muslims.

McKenna was also a “wholesale” supplier of firepower to the criminal underworld, churning out converted pistols, one of which ended up in the hands of Faisal Razzaq the getaway driver in the 2005 murder of PC Sharon Beshenivsky.

McKenna wrote messages about plans to “kill”, “shoot”, “unalive” and “neutralise” Muslims and immigrants.

Judge Peter Lodder KC, sentencing at Kingston crown court, said it was clear McKenna was a “dangerous” individual, who had played a “leading role in serious criminal enterprise”.
